Shit Dates And Compassion

I know some of you have made resolutions to go on more dates this year. You want to get to know more women and open the doors to those potential lovers that are everywhere – potentially – The sole purpose is to get to know that person a little better, convey a little more of your personality and build some rapport.

So what happens when you have no connection with that person whatsoever. What if she looked nothing like that night you met her. What if it is a blind date?

The next 27mins are going to be shit.

We’ve all been there and we know women have the exact same thoughts when dating us

“This was a bad idea, I need to get the fuck away from this person”

Both men and women think up ways to escape this crappy situation, whether it’s a really important fake text that has just come up or a friend you’re meeting in 20mins because their dog just got hit by a car!

How about if we had some compassion?

We all have insecurities, rough days and doubts about ourselves. How crap would you feel if someone called the date off 3mins into it?

Even if you have no connection or no longer feel an attraction to her, just give her some of your time.

Get to know someone knew, make a new friend. It’s easier to speak to someone you’re not attracted to, you don’t need to be concerned with attraction spikes.

When it’s over let her know that you enjoyed the conversation.

“I’ve got a friend I think you would really like. We should get a few of your girls and my guys together and go for a drink, it’ll be fun”

You’ve just told her that even though you don’t feel the attraction, you still think she is cool and seeing her again is ok, as a friend. Plus who knows – one of her friends could be exactly what you’re hunting for.

As your new friend, she may be willing to put in a good word for you.

Be a man, don’t be a Dick.
